Nicki caught a cab this time to her big condo. She walked to the elevator as it was closing.
"HOLD IT!" She shouted.
She saw a hand trigger the doors to open back.
"Thanks." She said smiling and then looking at her phone.
"You're welcome. What floor?" The man asked.
"13 please." She said in British accent.
It was quiet in the elevator. They were going really slow today. Nicki broke the silence by complaining about her job.
"I hate when people don't show up to their scheduled appointments."
"Yeah I missed mine with Vouge Fashion today." He said laughing.
Nicki looked up wide eyed. "That was you?"
"Yeah."
"Drake?"
"Yeah?"
She playfully punched him in the shoulder. "Next time show up!!!"
"Sorry." He said laughing.
Nicki looked up at the screen showing the floor numbers. 7.
"Why are the elevators moving so slow?"
"I don't know." Drake said concerned.
The elevator started creaking.
"Draaake? What's going on?" Nicki said getting scared.
The elevator came to an abrupt stop. Floor 12.
"Damn!" Nicki said.
"What's wrong?" Drake asked.
"I'm claustrophobic!"
"No you're not."
"How do you know?"
"Look at your face. I know you're acting."
Nicki looked at him and cried.
"What's wrong?"
"I had a date tonight. I didn't wanna go though."
"May I ask? With who?"
Nicki realized what she was doing was wrong. Going out with her boss? No.
"My boss." She said quietly.
"Oh."
A loud voice came through the speakers that startled both of them.
"We will get you out in a few hours."
"Hours!" Nicki said freaking out.
"Just relax." Drake said soothing her.
Nicki texting Safaree letting him know that she was stuck in an elevator. He called her.
"So you must not want the job?" Safaree said.
"It's not that! IM REALLY STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR!"
"Just say you don't wanna go out with me!"
"SAFAREE YOU'RE REALLY PISSING ME OFF!!!"
"Bye Nic."
Nicki chunked her phone at the floor.
"Sorry." She said to Drake.
"It's alright."
"I'm cold."
He gave her his jacket.
"Thanks." She said smiling.
"Welcome. Now we wait."
